Speed Tests
Please utilize the following links to determine the location of potential bottlenecks.
The "Close" button only works on the LCTN speed test. You will need to use the "Back" button on your browser for the other speed tests to return to this page.

1. Anything over 10Mb is good. (No problem between your switch/router and LCTN Office)

Speed Test From School to State Network (click on the rocket)
- Anything over 2 Mb is good. (No problem between your switch/router and State network)
Speed Test from School to Internet (click on the rocket)
- Speed to Internet will vary, according to traffic congestion.
Neither LCTN or OET (State network) have any control once traffic
reaches the Internet.
ASA MRTG Graph
Current Internet bandwidth is 50 Mb (6.25 MB). Expect some slow down when capacity is sustained beyond a few short spikes. Speed tests are a tool to be used when you feel
user's Internet experience is degraded. It will aid in identifying
where congestion may be occurring. Bandwidth tests can only measure a
brief few seconds of throughput. It is very possible to have poor
throughput results, and still have a good Internet experience. In
short, don't frustrate yourself by running multiple speed tests if
users are not complaining about slowness, or DNS timeouts.
